Some Whakatipu restaurants may be on tenterhooks before the country’s first Michelin-starred eateries are announced this coming Monday night.
The Michelin Guide gala night in Auckland will also reveal other Michelin honours, such as the country’s first Bib Gourmands, which indicates amazing food at reasonable prices, ‘Selected’, in which an eatery is recommended by a Michelin inspector, and other distinctions.
The Michelin Guide is the world’s most influential restaurant-rating system.
