Seven years after winning Lone Star’s long-running Super Rugby tipping comp, Steve ‘Riddles’ Ridley’s won again.

He’s pictured, centre, celebrating last Saturday with the Queenstown bar/restaurant’s owner, Dave Gardiner, and comp organiser Jodi Walters.

Ridley had been on level points with Lindsay McClean, but picked a higher winning margin for the Hurricanes, who thrashed the Chiefs 60-5 in the final.

A fervent Canes fan, he says he started supporting them when his mate Andrew Hore played 100-plus games for them. His winning prize is $500 which he has to spend on local businesses.
