Kids’ art comp

The Kukupa Collective, at Frankton’s Country Lane, is running a school holiday art competition, themed around Matariki, or Māori New Year. Budding artists are tasked with drawing what Matariki means to them — the tamariki winner (5-12) will get art supplies courtesy of Queenstown Art Supplies, while the rangatahi winner’s piece will be embroidered by TIKKI Studio. Entries need to be sent to the Kukupa Collective, based in the School House Studios at Country Lane, by July 18.
