The Wakatipu Wild women’s ice hockey team plays season-ending games against Canterbury Inferno in Christchurch this weekend — puck drop is 5pm both days with livestream available via the NZWIHL YouTube channel.
In home games against Inferno in May, Wild suffered very narrow overtime and shootout losses.
Meanwhile, Queenstown’s SkyCity Stampede men’s team beat Botany Swarm in Auckland last weekend 3-2 in overtime and 5-3.
