It is the first of eight prefabricated classrooms that are expected to be in place in the school’s northwestern corner by the end of today.

Southbase Construction commercial manager Neil Gough said they would be fitted out in time for the start of the first term next year.

They were needed while an extension of the school’s main building was carried out to increase its capacity from 1200 pupils to 1800.

The extension project was expected to be completed by mid-2022.
