The Wakatipu Premiers rugby team’s hosting bottom-placed Matakanui Combined at the Queenstown Rec Ground this Saturday — kickoff is 2.30pm.
Waka remain third in the Central Otago comp after a narrow 25-21 away loss to frontrunners Cromwell last weekend. Arrowtown, meanwhile, who lost 37-21 to Maniototo in Ranfurly, are away to Alexandra this Saturday.
They are currently fifth in the comp while Alexandra is fourth — ironically, the positions would be reversed if Arrowtown had not had points docked for fielding unregistered points when they ‘beat’ Alex at home back in April.
