Hungry thieves have been busy around Balclutha in recent days.
Three burglaries over the weekend were reported and food was taken in all three incidents.
Constable Jim Jordan said a window was smashed to gain entry to the South Otago Creative Arts Centre, but the only thing taken was some food items.
About a half a cattle beast, recently stored in a freezer at a Clyde St address, was also taken over the weekend.
And a Glasgow St house was entered between 5pm on Sunday and lunchtime on Monday.
Const Jordan said the offender must have been hungry because some muffins, a loaf of bread and some margarine were taken, as well as a wallet which was in the pantry.
Police are calling for information on the burglaries.
