The Government department investigating claims of mismanagement and other allegations against the Tokomairiro Training Centre has completed the initial stages but still cannot say when its work will be finished.
The Tertiary Education Commission (Tec) launched its inquiry after former tutor Brian Crawford and others raised several concerns in July about the way the Milton-based centre was being run.
Despite the inquiry being launched three months ago, there still seemed to be no end in sight.
In a statement to the Otago Daily Times, Tec's acting director tertiary providers and service centre, Pauline Barnes, said it had completed the initial stages of the investigation.
"We have a couple of remaining aspects to follow up on and will then be able to consider our findings."
Tec would then discuss its findings with those parties involved before commenting on any decision.
Mr Crawford made about 20 separate allegations against the centre including bullying, alcohol consumption and intimidation.
All claims have been denied by the Tokomairiro High School, which receives Tec money to run the centre.
Another former tutor is continuing with an Employment Court grievance against the centre.
