A collision between a car and two truck-and-trailer units closed a Southland road yesterday morning but no serious injuries resulted.
Senior Sergeant Olaf Jensen, of Invercargill, said State Highway 1 between Woodlands and Dacre was closed for about six hours after the crash about 5.20am.
A northbound Mitsubishi V3000 car crossed the centre line and collided with the left-hand side of the first truck.
The car glanced off a roadside bank and struck the left-hand side of the second truck-and-trailer unit.
The 29-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the car, was taken to hospital by ambulance and later discharged with minor injuries.
Neither truck driver was injured.
Police investigations are continuing.
