Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash after a ute rolled and struck a tree in Invercargill this afternoon.

A police spokesman said police were called to the single-vehicle crash near the roundabout of Clyde and Tweed Sts about 3.40pm.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand senior station officer Gordon Rodgers said the vehicle had come around the roundabout onto Clyde St, mounted the curb and hit a cabbage tree.

No-one was trapped after the crash, though two people had mild injuries, he said.
