Wanaka’s MINT Charitable Trust has received a $45,290 grant towards its programmes in the disability sector from the Central Lakes Trust (CLT).

Ten charitable causes in the region received a share of $741,495 in CLT’s March funding round.

Wanaka’s Wao Aotearoa trust, which organised the recent successful Harvest Festival, also received a $150,000 programme grant for its work in the climate change space.

The largest grant was $363,042, awarded to the Central Otago District Council Cromwell Memorial Hall (CPI adjustment).

MINT programme manager Charlotte Jackson said MINT’s portion would be applied to weekly programmes, community events and a volunteer programme.

"At MINT we believe that disability is not a limitation.

"We are committed to working with individuals and families to build a community of acceptance, where everyone can thrive and contribute," she said.
