Wānaka’s biggest night out just got bigger.

Tickets to Food For Love’s first gala dinner have officially sold out, but due to demand, a very limited number of additional tickets have just been released.

The gala will be held on Friday, October 31, at Edgewater, offering the community a chance to dress up and enjoy a night out while supporting a local charity at the same time.

Guests will receive a red-carpet arrival, three-course dinner as well as a drink on arrival.

The gala will have live entertainment from Dirty Money Duo, guest speakers Nadia Lim and Lydia Bradey, with Joel Palmer from More FM as host.

The evening would also feature live and silent auctions packed with prizes and experiences donated by over 100 local businesses, worth more than $45,000.

"This is the first time Food For Love has ever hosted an event like this," the charity’s general manager Jodie Stuart said

"We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity and excitement from our community.

"It’s really shaping up to be an unforgettable night."

Last year, Food For Love prepared and delivered 9220 meals to locals in times of need.

With demand continuing to rise, funds from the Gala will help ensure the charity can keep supporting those who need it most.

"There aren’t many opportunities in Wānaka to get glammed up, have an amazing night out and give back to the community at the same time," she said.

"These final tickets won’t last long so make sure you get in quick to avoid missing out!"
