Toy library seeking new home

Eight hundred Wanaka toys have nowhere to call home.

The Wanaka Toy Library had to vacate its previous leased premises recently, and is now struggling to find a new place from which to operate.

Toy librarians Arda Booiman and Lisa Johnston, with daughter Awa (3), have been approaching property owners all over Wanaka, but so far without any success.

Many of the toys are bigger ones families might want to borrow, rather than buy.

The library has been operating for 25 years and it has 115 families as members.

It needs a building in or near Wanaka of at least 50sqm, with parking.
