
Zoe Richards led the way with 28 points as the Falcons won 76-54, moving to four wins, just one behind the second-placed Magic.
After leading 24-18 at the first break, the second quarter was key for the Falcons. They held the Magic to 11 in that quarter, while scoring 24 themselves, including 10 to Richards.
That took the score to 48-29 at halftime, before the Falcons extended it to 68-41 at the end of the third quarter.
Kirsty Currie top-scored with 16 points for a Magic side that was missing Soraya Umaga-Jensen and had Georgia Te Au playing limited minutes.
Meanwhile, Brittany Richards added 17 for the Falcons, while Jodie Hope had 13 and Tayla MacDonald scored 10.
Meanwhile, Ajax came from behind to beat Varsity after trailing at halftime.
After a close first quarter, Varsity scored 27 points and held Ajax to 15 in the second, taking a 45-35 lead.
However, Ajax fought back to cut the deficit to three in the third on the back of 12 points from Danielle Frost.
Frost continued that scoring dominance in the fourth quarter, pouring in 13 points as Ajax ran away to an 82-67 win.
She finished with 37 points, while Natalie Smith had 20.
Jeanie Pattison top-scored for Varsity with 19 points, while Estelle Schuler had 15.
