Kaikorai all-rounder Tim Muir scored a half-century and grabbed a six-wicket bag to help his side thrash out-of-sorts Taieri by 131 runs at Brooklands on Saturday.
Muir hit 53 runs from 58 deliveries after opener Ryan Duffy had got Kaikorai off to a wonderful start with a hard-hit 65 off 41 deliveries.
Iain Robertson chipped in with 23 and Matt Hunter scored 27 to help Kaikorai reach 264 for nine.
Ben Kidston was the pick of the Taieri bowlers with one for 17 from eight overs, while opener Anthony Harris offered some resistance with the bat, getting through to 37. He quickly ran out of partners, though, with Muir ripping through middle order with six for 27 to help dismiss Taieri for 133.
• Carisbrook-Dunedin 220 beat Albion (168) by 52 runs
Carisbrook-Dunedin's James McAuslan top-scored with 66 to anchor his side's total of 220, a target which proved to steep for Albion.

Albion's Mark Craig took four for 44 from 10 overs and Otago left-arm spinner Nick Beard was tidy with one for 27 from 10 overs.
Albion's run chase never amounted to much. Shaun Haig was bowled for a duck and fellow opener Jamie Glenn was trapped in front on 18. Nathan King (26) and Ollie Newton (43) offered some resistance and No 10 Josh Cuttance scored a valuable 27.
James Welch took three for 43 and Sean Eathorne two for 25.
• North East Valley 210 beat Green Island (203) by seven runs
Former Auckland all-rounder Jimmy Neesham enhanced his reputation by playing a starring role in North East Valley's narrow seven-run win over Green Island.
Neesham, who transferred from Auckland to Otago to further his career this summer, scored 79 to help North East Valley post a competitive 210 and took a key wicket, dismissing Hamish Rutherford before the dangerous left-hander could really get going.
He also wrapped up the innings when he trapped Russell Ritchie leg before wicket. Tristan Eckoff also played a good hand with 43 and Neesham finished with two for 40 from 8.5 overs.
Jordan Sheed anchored Green Island's reply with 55, and Mark Joyce (34) and Jamie Munroe (37) kept the fight going.

Angus Reid held the middle order together for a period, chipping in with 21.
The two Seans - Moran and Windle - nabbed eight wickets between them. Windle took five for 39 from 10 overs and Moran three for 39 from eight.
Country's reply hit an early hurdle with Brendan Domigan bowled by Otago all-rounder Sam Wells for two. Wicketkeeper-batsman James Pyle top-scored with 61 but got precious little support as his side folded for 149.
Wells took three for 25 and Hynes two for 13 in a comfortable 129-run win.
