Not a good night for cricket

Black Cap Tim Seifert scrambles to make his ground in the third T20 international against England at Eden Park in Auckland last night. There was not a lot of cricket played and rather a lot of rain — again. Seifert made an unbeaten 23 off 11 balls, including two sixes, as New Zealand got to 38 for one off 3.4 overs in what by then had become an innings of 14 overs a side. Then the rain set in a second time, after which there was a further reduction to eight overs a side. Just as play was about to resume at 10pm, there was yet more rain. There was only one completed game, won by England, in the three-game series.
