Otago slipped to a 47-run loss to Auckland in a rain-affected clash on the second day of the New Zealand under-19 men’s tournament at Lincoln yesterday.
Left-handed opener Ethan Holman blazed 125 off just 59 balls to power Auckland to an imposing 245 for three off 22 overs.
In reply, Otago opener Jack Kelly whacked 79 off 49 balls, and Ashton Hansen contributed 46 off 19, but Otago finished well short at 198 for eight off their 22 overs. — Allied Media
