Wanaka Golf Club professional Garth Domigan successfully defended his New Zealand PGA golf professional title when he fiinished 10th in a Pro-Am tournament in Kaikoura on Sunday.
Domigan secured the title with rounds of 70 and 72 to finish as the top club professional, one shot ahead of Auckland's Peninsula Club professional Robin Smalley.
Domigan's Kaikoura Pro-Am win followed on from his win at Clearwater last year.
His predecessor as the Wanaka Golf Club, resident professional Peter Smith, won the same title in 2004.
Roxburgh-born Domigan, a former New Zealand amateur champion, has been the professional at the Wanaka Club since 2005.
Domigan yesterday played in the North versus South club professional tournament at Rangiora.
He leaves New Zealand tomorrow for Perth to contest the $300,000 Australian Seniors Tournament in which he finished eighth last year.
