Dunedin schoolboy Will Young had a front-row seat in a master class of golf yesterday — and he was lapping it up.
The Otago Boys’ High School year 13 pupil was on the bag of Australian Brad Kennedy, who is leading the field after two rounds.
Young (17), who is in his third year caddying at the New Zealand Open, admitted he did not give Kennedy much advice as the Queenslander bagged birdies left, right and centre.
Young said it was cool just sitting back and watching the display from his man.
Young plays off a three handicap at Otago Golf Club.
If Kennedy keeps up this form, Young will have a big weekend ahead of him.
