An all-Auckland final will highlight the end of the Rankin Cup schoolboy tournament in Dunedin today.
Perennial power Auckland Grammar will play crosstown rival Kings College in the final at 1.45pm.
Grammar qualified by thrashing Hamilton Boys 6-0 in a one-sided semifinal, while Kings had to come from behind to beat defending champion Westlake Boys 3-1.
Grammar will be seeking its 23rd Rankin Cup, and fifth in the past seven years, while Kings will try to repeat its 2005 triumph.
The prolific Dwayne Roswell again led the Grammar attack yesterday, firing in a hat trick against Hamilton Boys.
Joseph Crooks added two goals and Jerome van Rijn also scored.
Kings had to work much harder in its semifinal after Elliot Bartholomew had given Westlake a 1-0 lead.
Kings turned up the pressure, started to dominate and marched to the final with goals from Michael Ritchie, Kim Kingstone and Nick Sissons.
Otago Boys High School will play Christs College at 11.10am for fifth and sixth place.
Otago Boys, which made the final in its first year back in the Rankin Cup last year, pummelled Wairarapa College 5-0 yesterday.
Kane Russell and Michael McKee each scored twice for Otago Boys, while Patrick Hamer bagged the other goal.
Otago Boys will be seeking revenge for a 2-1 loss to Christs on the opening day of the tournament.
Meanwhile, St Hildas Collegiate School will play Christchurch Girls High School for 13th and 14th place at the Federation Cup in Wellington today.
After four consecutive losses at the elite schoolgirls tournament, St Hildas beat Westlake Girls 2-0 yesterday.
Bayfield High School will play Greymouth High School in the final of the Coaches Cup for boys in Ashburton today.
Bayfield qualified for the final by defeating Darfield High School on penalty strokes yesterday after the game was tied at 0-0 after regulation time.
Aaaron Farrell scored the winning penalty stroke for Bayfield.
