Otago qualified for the quarterfinals with a 2-0 win over Manawatu at the New Zealand under-18 men’s tournament in Timaru yesterday.
Mason Kingan and Charlie Falconer scored the goals for Otago, who play Canterbury in a quarterfinal this morning.
The Otago under-18 women suffered a 5-0 loss to North Harbour. They play Auckland White in a ninth-16th playoff game this afternoon. — APL
