Dunedin unbeaten

Dunedin are through to the top four of the national under-18 championships in Waitakere and will play Christchurch Red in their semifinal this morning.

Dunedin, who have yet to lose a game, had a convincing 40-25 win over Invercargill and backed it up by thumping Hutt Valley 42-9 in their top 16 game yesterday.

Invercargill lost 39-34 to Howick Pakuranga, while North Otago recorded a 38-22 win over Te Tai Poutini.

Eastern Southland had a close 35-32 loss to South Canterbury in their opening Plate game. They were pipped 26-25 by Nelson in the afternoon.
