Phys Ed A versus University-Albion A was billed as the game of the weekend's Dunedin premier club competition round, but it was a one-sided and error-ridden affair that resulted in Uni-Albion winning 61-32.
In the opening exchanges, neither team made much headway as unforced errors in each team's attack line stifled any progress.
However, midway through the quarter, Uni-Albion minimised its mistakes and was rewarded with a 13-7 lead at the end of the period.
In the second quarter, Phys Ed goal keep Jess Moulds worked tirelessly, but her efforts went unrewarded as Phys Ed's attack line continued to lack cohesion.
At halftime, Uni-Albion had extended its lead to 27-15 and clearly looked the better of the two teams.
In the third quarter, Uni-Albion started to relish the dominance and began to lengthen its passes, making quick work of bringing the ball through the mid court.
Phys Ed changed its shooting circle, bringing Danielle Calnan from wing defence to goal shoot, and was rewarded with its best quarter, scoring 10 goals.
But that did little to slow the tide and Uni-Albion had a healthy 42-25 lead going into the final quarter.
Uni-Albion upped the tempo of its game in the final quarter, playing by far its best netball of the match to out-score Phys Ed 19-7.
In the other game, Southern A beat Phys Ed Phedex 71-61.
The game between Southern B and Uni-Albion B was rescheduled.
