At halftime, Southern again looked to its bench, making seven positional changes. This time it paid off and the game shifted in Southern's favour.

But at three-quarter time, University-Albion still led 50-37.

In a closely-contested fourth quarter both teams exchanged goals and University-Albion won the quarter 16-15.

Southern A coach Georgie Salter must be lamenting taking until the third quarter to find the right on-court combination.

In the Phys Ed A-Southern B match, favoured Phys Ed A crashed to an embarrassing 53-38 loss. Southern B pulled out all the stops as it was facing being bottom of the table, and with a fired-up Steph Brensell at goal shoot, it claimed the upset.
