Steel claims last gasp win

The Southern Steel has claimed a dramatic 68-67 win over the Northern Mystics at the Edgar Centre tonight to keep its 12 match win streak alive.

A last second goal from Jhaniele Fowler-Reid saw it get over the line in a game which saw it have to work hard.

It appeared to be cruising early on, before the Mystics fought back to pull within three towards the end of the first quarter.

From that point neither team could pull away, the lead changing several times, before the Steel eventually emerged with the win.

The result sees it secure a home final.
