Athletes hopped, skipped and jumped their way through the New Zealand combined events championships at the Caledonian Ground, in Dunedin, at the weekend.

A large number of Otago athletes joined others from across the country, and a good contingent from Australia, Japan and Singapore, to compete in the octathlon, hexathlon, heptathlon and decathlon across the two days.
