London Legend looks an anchor for the $100,000 TAB Pick6 at Addington tonight as he seeks a hat trick in a 1950m (mobile) free-for-all.

London Legend won the Rangiora Cup (2600m) from 30m at his last start last Sunday week.

Leading driver Dexter Dunn did not have to drive him out to win by six lengths from Keytoourdreams, a rival tonight.

Junior driver Dunn leads the premiership with 135 wins, four more than Peter Ferguson.

At his previous start, London Legend won over 1950m (mobile), the distance of the preferential barrier draw race tonight at Ashburton.

The 8yr-old won by two and a-half lengths in a 1.59.3 mile rate.

The record of London Legend is far superior to that of any of his rivals and starting from the outside of the mobile dispatch - seven with the two scratchings - on the front row should not hinder his prospects.

The In The Pocket gelding has recorded 22 wins and $430,390 in stakes for Jim and Susan Wakefield, from the stable of Cran Dalgety.

The best-performed rivals of London Legend tonight are Rathbone and Keytoourdreams, both having won nine races.

Keytoourdreams was unlucky last week at Addington when pushed back.

Rathbone is looking for a hat trick after convincing wins over 2200m (mobile) at Forbury Park at his last two starts.

Sir Artsplace, a 3yr-old colt, has won five of his 19 starts.

He led throughout the 1950m (mobile) at Addington last Friday night.

Willie Nelson, another drive for Dexter Dunn, should be too good in the third leg of Pick6.

The 3yr-old was beaten two lengths by the talented Bushfire when both were having their first starts in a 1950m (mobile) at Addington on June 20.

Willie Nelson was unlucky at his last start at the Rangiora meeting on June 29 when blocked for a run in the home straight when full of running.

Lizzie Maguire, the Great Northern Oaks winner, is set to resume racing at Alexandra Park tomorrow night.

The daughter of Christian Cullen and Unrehearsed was given a break of 10 days by trainer Gareth Dixon after she finished second to Safin in the Harness Jewels on May 31.

"We backed off her to freshen her.

I have kept her up to the mark with a work out last Tuesday week when she ran her last 800 in 56.8," Dixon said.

Lizzie Maguire is booked to fly to Melbourne next Tuesday where Dixon said she has the Australian Oaks at Moonee Valley tomorrow week, followed by the Breeders Crown, on her agenda.

"She would have to perform right up to her best on Friday night to warrant the trip to Australia."

Lizzie Maguire, the winner of eight of her 19 starts, has drawn one in the 3-5w 2200m (mobile) tomorrow night.

A filly who was given away by her Canterbury breeder last Christmas won the Queensland Oaks on Saturday night.

Riverboat Rosie was bred by Mike Stevens and his wife, Glenis, at Leithfield Beach.

"I couldn't make her run.

"She was not fast enough and couldn't sprint so I gave her to Roddy Butt," Stevens said.

"Roddy sold her to Brent Borcoskie and he sold her to Allan Donohoe of Marong in Queensland."

The Stevens bred Riverboat Rosie from a mating of Riverboat King and Jonty Rose.

Stevens purchased Jonty Rose (by Vance Hanover) as a foal at foot with her dam Living Doll who was in foal to Vance Hanover.

"I thought Vance Hanover mares might make good broodmares so I purchased Living Doll in the North Island about 1991."

Living Doll (Lordship-Queen's Coronet) won five races for Jim Dalgety, who trained her at Oamaru in the mid-1970s.

Stevens, whose horse Smooth Dominion nearly caused a boilover when he ran Iraklis to half a head when outsider in the 13-horse field in the 1997 New Zealand Cup, is breeding from seven mares including Jonty Jo, a sister to Jonty Rose.
