Aaron Smith sex scandal resurfaces

Questions have been raised over whether Aaron Smith misled All Blacks management over the airport sex scandal.

The questions come after the Daily Mail Australia last night published messages it claims were sent between Smith and the woman involved in the scandal.

The messages reportedly contradict what Smith told All Blacks management about his relationship with the woman he had a liaison with in the disabled toilet at Christchurch Airport last year.

At the time, Smith downplayed what took place and led rugby officials to believe the encounter was a brief lapse in judgement.

However, the messages suggested the affair was ongoing and the New Zealand Rugby Union was not given the whole truth.

The Highlanders and All Black halfback was stood down for one game over the incident last year.

The publication of the messages comes as the woman involved in the incident has also spoken about the incident.

In an interview scheduled to air on TVNZ's Seven Sharp tonight, the woman will reportedly explain why she's taken legal action over alleged defamation.

"The way they had portrayed me was being as an absolute 'ho', a woman that had targeted this guy at the airport and forced myself on him and I'd acted in such a way that they didn't even want their players around me anymore," she said in a clip aired by 1News this morning.

Smith was named to start in the Bledisloe Cup game against the Wallabies in Sydney on Saturday.
