Favourite rugby memory?

Singing the national anthem for the first time and doing the haka while representing the New Zealand under-20s in 2013.

Hardest opponent?

Probably not an opponent but when I was in the Blues I had to do some contact training in the lineouts against Jerome Kaino. I did not enjoy defence training when I was against him, that’s for sure.

What rugby player do you admire, and why?

Jonno Gibbes would be up there. He was a bloody good loosie and he coached me at Waikato for NPC. I learnt a lot from him.

What do you do to relax?

I like to get on the golf course and when I’m playing well I’m relaxed, but if not I hide in the carpark.

If Jordan Manihera is cooking, what are we eating?

Lasagne. It is the go-to.
