Ben Smith is back for the Highlanders in their game against the Hurricanes in Wellington at the weekend.

Smith had been rested after suffering concussion in the Super Rugby tournament's first round loss to the Chiefs last month.

He will start at fullback and be joined by namesakes Aaron Smith and Otago first five-eighth Fletcher Smith, who makes his first start at this level.

Young Otago flanker Dillon Hunt will also makes his starting debut for the Highlanders on Saturday night.

The Hurricanes have replaced the injured Nehe Milner-Skudder with youngster Jordie Barrett.

The match kicks off at 7.35pm.
