Kaikorai put its foot on the throttle to outclass Pirates 47-5 to retain its top position in Dunedin premier club rugby on Saturday.
Kaikorai gave its best display of the season, when it scored seven tries to beat Pirates 47-5 at Bishopscourt.
The other highlight came from Alhambra-Union hooker Ben Pereira who scored four tries and this is probably a record for a hooker in Dunedin club rugby. But Southern still had the edge and won the game 31-23.
Kaikorai still leads the Gallaway Trophy competition after eleven rounds with 45 points and is followed by University A 44, Southern 38, Dunedin 30, Alhambra-Union 29, Harbour 28, Zingari Richmond 26, Pirates 25, Green Island 2 and University B 0.
