Rugby: Otago players in NZ U20

Midfield back Sio Tomkinson and prop Shaun Stodart have both been named in the New Zealand U20 squad to play at the Oceania Under 20 tournament.

The pair representing Otago are joined by a bunch of other top talent including Blues halfback Sam Nock and Hurricanes hooker Leni Apisai, who will captain the team.

Tomkinson was a highly touted player out of Kavanagh College and Otago Boys' High School, before making six appearances for Otago last year. His exploits saw him pick up a Highlanders' wider training squad contract.

Stodart captained Southland Boys' High School and was a member of the New Zealand Schools team, before moving to Dunedin where he plays for Southern.

The team will play two matches against Australia early next month.
