Seven Highlanders players have been rewarded for their fine Super 15 season by being named in the Maori All Blacks squad for games against Fiji and the New Zealand Barbarians next month.

The 27-man squad was named in Wellington this morning and includes Highlanders Ash Dixon, Brendon Edmonds, Josh Hohneck, Shane Christie, Elliot Dixon, Jason Emery and Kurt Baker.

Chiefs midfield back Charlie Ngatai has been named captain.

The team will be coached by Colin Cooper.The 27-strong squad departs for Fiji on Wednesday 8 July.
