Czech starlet Nicole Vaidisova would be none too happy about joining a boys' club at the Australian Open.
Having slipped from the world's top 40 after a disappointing 2008 season, Vaidisova's woes continued with an ugly 6-2 6-1 first-round loss to Frenchwoman Severine Bremond.
An Open semi-finalist in 2007, Vaidisova was so disgusted with her performance she refused to attend an obligatory post-match press conference.
The ITF on Friday fined her $US2000 ($NZ3838) for the no-show.
The one-time world No.7 is the only woman to have been fined at the opening grand slam of the season.
But Australians Lleyton Hewitt and Brydan Klein are among 18 men pinged for behaving badly at Melbourne Park.
Hewitt was docked $US1500 for verbal abuse during his first-round loss to Chilean 13th seed Fernando Gonzalez on Tuesday, while the hot-headed Klein was forced to cough up $US1000 for an audible obscenity during his second-round loss to Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka.
Melbourne Park favourite and 2006 runner-up Marcos Baghdatis has also fallen foul of officials, drawing a $US500 fine for racquet abuse.
Russian Dmitry Tursunov has been hit hardest, though, docked a total of $US3000 for racquet and verbal abuse.
