Because of work commitments, Louise Ardley has stepped down after seven years as president of the Otago Lily Society. Elected as her replacement is Karen Judge, who has been the club’s show manager and expects to continue in that role.
Ms Judge is now co-ordinating the society’s annual lily bulb sale on May 2 and 3, which is being held in conjunction with the Dunedin Horticultural Society’s autumn show at the St Kilda Bowling Club.
Also combining two roles is Gillian Vine, who — following the resignation of Dr Rex Thomson — has been elected president of the Otago Rose Society and will carry on editing the society’s monthly newsletter. — Allied Media
