The fun school holiday event, for families with children aged 8 years and under, will feature storytellers, cookie decoration, and a free book for each child.
The family fun day will be held on Thursday, April 29 from 10am to noon.
SuperGrans manager Sandy McKay said the Korero with the Kids event was being run in conjunction with the National Library’s Read, Share Grow programme and Arai Te Uru Whare Hauora.
"We are keen to share the fun of reading with the children, and will have storytellers, as well as some of our grans reading stories," Ms McKay said.
Ms McKay said there had been some changes recently at SuperGrans, with Rosie Hill joining the team as administrator.
Ms McKay and Ms Hill worked together for many years at Literacy Aotearoa.
