
The 1483ha sheep and beef breeding and finishing property runs about 10,000 stock units and includes three houses.
It is one of nine properties being sold by Landcorp - New Zealand's biggest farmer - and the only one in Otago. The decision to divest the properties was announced earlier this year.
In its annual report, the company said one of its priorities was to ensure the best use of the company's large
asset base and its capital resources.
Throughout Landcorp's history, it had bought or sold about 140 farms to support strategic goals and to redeploy capital.
Nine farms had been identified where Landcorp ownership was ``inconsistent with company-wide strategies and initiatives''.
Copper Road, which is 10km north of Waitahuna and 88km from Dunedin, is being marketed by PGG Wrightson.
Tenders close at noon on December 16. An open day is being held on Wednesday from 1.30pm.
Low milk prices helped drive Landcorp to a net operating loss of $9.4 million in the year to June, which compared with a $4.9 million profit a year earlier.
