Good prices realised at bull sale

Lockarburn Herefords at Cromwell achieved a top price of $15,500 at their recent bull sale.

The top-priced bull was sold to Patearoa Station, while 30 bulls sold for an average of $5565.

Earnscleugh Station sold 30 Angus bulls for an average of $5100, with a top price of $12,000 sold to Carrick Station; 25 composite bulls sold for an average of $5845, with a top price of $9000 sold to Whare Creek Station at Manapouri, and 25 Hereford bulls sold for an average of $4384 with a top price of $8500 sold to Matakanui Station.

Nethertown Angus, at Middlemarch, sold 25 bulls for an average of $5308, with three bulls making the top price of $7000, sold to Mt Stoker, Hartfield Farm, and Strathavon Farm.

Pikoburn Angus in Southland sold 15 bulls for an average of $6836, with a top price of $14,000 sold to Chris Jefferies of Cheviot.

Pourakino Downs Herefords sold 14 bulls for an average of $4223 with a top price of $11,000 sold to Oatley Hills stud.

Waiau Herefords sold 20 bulls with a top price of $8500 sold to Marble Point in the Lewis Pass.

Monymusk Herefords sold 25 bulls for an average of $7021 and a top price of $12,000 sold to Andy Denham of Stoneburn.

Waikaka Herefords sold 14 bulls with a top price of $10,000.
