Andrew and Tracy Paterson, who farm near Omakau, have won the supreme fine-wool fleece award in the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand's national Golden Fleece competition for the second consecutive year.
The event was hosted recently by the Otago-Taieri A&P Society and will move to Oxford next year.
The Patersons' halfbred ewe fleece, which weighed 6.4kg skirted, scored 99 points out of 100.
The strong-wool fleece award was won by Rachel Humphrey, of Feilding, with a score of 98.5.
