A charity which helps New Zealand families will benefit from the auction of a brand-new Rolleston home when it goes under the hammer on Thursday.

The home at 26 Chartreuse Way was built by Sentinel Homes and will be auctioned off at Bayleys House on Deans Ave at 11am on August 27 unless sold prior.

Stuart Shutt, managing director of Sentinel Homes, said all the profits from the house sale will be donated to Parenting Place, a charity dedicated to strengthening families and supporting parents.

Shutt said the home was made possible by the “generosity of local suppliers and skilled tradespeople, who have donated their materials, time and expertise so that as much of the sale proceeds as possible can go directly to the cause”.

“This is far more than just a brand-new home. It's a chance to make a real difference while securing exceptional value,” said Shutt.

“We're incredibly proud to have built this home, but the truth is we couldn't have done it alone.

"This has been made possible first and foremost by Israel and Jess Cooper and their amazing team at Sentinel Homes Christchurch. On top of that, the generosity of the local suppliers and tradespeople who rolled up their sleeves and donated their time and materials has been genuinely humbling.

"Every one of them has helped turn a house into something that will strengthen Kiwi families for years to come.

"For the new owner, it's a beautifully finished, high-quality home at outstanding value. For Parenting Place, it's real, lasting support. That's a pretty special combination.”

Set in the popular Arbor Green subdivision, the 164sq m home sits on a 509sq m section.

Shutt thanked premium AAC construction, elegant Rockcote and James Hardie Stria cladding for helping bring the home to life.

He said the light-filled open-plan kitchen and dining area is centred around a designer kitchen with stone benchtops, quality appliances and a spacious walk-in pantry with feature LED lighting.

It also has a separate living area with a spectacular cathedral ceiling and three generous double bedrooms.

The master suite has a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite with a tiled shower and under-tile heating.

The walk-through laundry leads to a carpeted double internal-access garage, and the house has multiple heating options.

The home is fully landscaped and comes with a Master Build guarantee, meaning the new owner can move straight in with nothing left to do but unpack and enjoy.

For Parenting Place, the auction will provide vital support for its work with families.

“Every family deserves the chance to thrive, and homes are where that begins,” said Pio Terei, Pou Tangata and Kaikōrero at Parenting Place.

“What Sentinel Homes and these good people have done here is a beautiful thing. They've literally built something from the ground up to help other families build strong foundations of their own.

"When someone bids on this home, they're not just buying a house, they're helping mums and dads all over Aotearoa raise their tamariki with a bit more support and a lot more love. That's something to get behind.”
