Console warriors: Xbox 360 and BioShock sequel

Xbox 360 price cut

Microsoft has cut the prices of its Xbox 360 video game console in Europe by up to 28% to try to spur sales in the fast-growing industry.

In the second price shave for the 360 in a year, the 360 has dropped to 370 for the Elite console and 200 for the Arcade version.

The reductions come as Sony's PlayStation 3 appears set to capitalise on the company's recent victory in the high-definition DVD battle and on a slew of highly anticipated new games hitting the market this year.

`BioShock' sequel announced

Take Two has announced that a sequel to BioShock is in development at its new 2K Marin Studio and is expected to launch before October 2009.

It has been rumoured that BioShock 2 will be a prequel, meaning gamers could get to see first-hand the fall of Rapture, the fictional underwater dystopian city featured in BioShock.

Rats going platinum

The Ratatouille video game based on the Disney/Pixar film of the same name has achieved the prestigious Xbox 360 platinum family hits collection and Sony greatest hits sales milestones. THQ originally released Ratatouille across 11 different gaming systems and has since shipped nearly four million copies across all platforms worldwide.

and formulate a fitness programme.
