Pop star Kylie Minogue has shared the story behind her move to pause mid-concert for a romantic kiss with her boyfriend in front of 20,000 Spanish fans and "family" ... to spare him embarrassment.
During a concert in Barcelona last week, Minogue, 42, spoke in her boyfriend Andres Velencoso's native Spanish, saying, "I'm so happy to have family here tonight, especially someone. My cupid boy."
The singer then searched the crowds for her man, who was blowing the Aussie beauty kisses from his seat.
However, Minogue demanded the real thing - and beckoned the model up to the side of the stage for a romantic kiss, while her fans applauded.
"I had no intention of doing anything, except mention that Andre was there," Minogue has since told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.
"It was in his city. The Catalonians like him and are very proud of what he has done. I guess, in a way, they consider me to be a little bit like family at the moment."
Minogue said the crowd then started chanting to get Velencoso up on stage.
"I couldn't do that to him," she said.
"He would have looked a bit stupid standing up there and he'd have been mortified. So I just went off piste for a little kiss. It was very sweet."
Minogue's Aphrodite world tour reaches Scotland this week.
