Powderfinger have headed into the studio to record their seventh album.
The Brisbane rock band have started work on the follow up to Dream Days and hope to release a new album by the end of the year.
"We have been busy writing for the last five months, and I have to say, we are pretty damn excited heading into the studio with our old friend, producer Nick DiDia," guitarist Darren Middleton wrote on the band's website.
DiDia produced their most popular albums, Internationalist, Odyssey Number 5 and Vulture St.
