‘Yesterday’, ‘Strawberry Fields’, ‘’Let It Be’, ‘Norwegian Wood’, ‘Penny Lane’ and ‘Eleanor Rigby’ – these are just some of the Beatles’ greatest hits that the DSO will perform on 11 March. New Zealand’s love affair with the ‘Fab Four’ has lasted over six decades. From screaming teens in the 60s to six-figure album sales in the 2000s, Beatles songs have been a soundtrack to a generation; an anthem to youth and beyond.
On show will be the extraordinary talents of some of Dunedin’s finest musicians: the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, the amazing voices of Luke Butson, Dominic Edmond, Emily Kerr-Bell, multi-talented Michael Grant, Finn Kite and Ella Ruddle, plus a stonking rhythm section. They will be joined by Christchurch’s Graham Wardrop and conductor/arranger Tom Rainey.
This concert is not to be missed!
Tickets: Adults from $49. Concessions from $39. Students and children from $29.
