Provisions' Magic Slice
400g biscuit crumbs, crushed
250g melted butter
Mix together and pack into base of a lined baking tray.
Topping:
100g chopped dark chocolate plus a handful for on top
125g flaked almonds
100g chopped dried apricots
100g chopped pitted prunes
100g dried cranberries
100g desiccated coconut (optional and could be replaced by other dried fruit or nuts if preferred)
2 cans condensed milk
Method
Mix together chocolate, fruit, nuts and coconut and spread on top of biscuit base.
Pour over cans of condensed milk and sprinkle a handful of chocolate on top. Bake in moderate oven (about 180degC) for 30-40 minutes until light golden brown.
