A Mosgiel man was reading in bed when a car smashed through his house wall.
It was driven by a woman who allegedly head-butted a police officer after fleeing from the scene.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said officers were called to the Church St house about 9.45pm on Tuesday.
