Four Bayfield High School senior pupils say they are not sure how, or why, but attending Andersons Bay School has not hindered their chances of gaining later leadership roles.

Bayfield head boy Jamie McBride (17), head girl Sammy Benson-Pope (17), deputy head girl Anna Chilcott (17) and deputy head boy Flo Rades (17) revisited their old school yesterday to share experiences with primary pupils.

‘‘The school is not quite as big as I remember it,'' Sammy said.

The secondary pupils attended the primary school assembly yesterday afternoon and answered questions from the younger pupils about their time at school, and their funniest moments as pupils.

Andersons Bay School principal Dave McWhinnie said the four pupils ‘‘were just really neat kids'' when they attended the school, and he was not surprised to learn they had recently been appointed to leadership positions at secondary school.

Jamie said he was looking forward to the school year, and the responsibility of being a school leader. The pupils, who had enjoyed their time at Andersons Bay School, agreed they would tell pupils to con tinue with social and sporting activities they started at prim ary school.
