Flume (Harley Edward Streten) will perform three stadium shows in New Zealand.
The 24-year-old musician, who is due to release his second album later this month, will start his tour at Forsyth Barr Stadium on July 19.
He will perform at Christchurch's Horncastle Arena on July 20 and Auckland's Vector Arena on July 22.
The tour then travels to the United States and Europe, ending in Manchester on November 18.
"Spending most of this year bringing my new live show across the world,'' Flume, who has remixed the likes of Lorde, Sam Smith and Disclosure, tweeted yesterday.
Otago University Students' Association spokeswoman Tess Trotter said the concert would not be part of the ReOrientation line-up.
The concert was a week after ReOrientation, she said.
The ReOrientation event listings would be released later this month, she said.
OUSA had "back and forth discussions'' with Flume's promoter but the show did not fit with the ReOrientation theme, she said.
ReOrientation events were "low-key'' and held on campus, unlike Orientation events, which included "big music nights'' at the stadium.
ReOrientation was traditionally not a "huge'' week for students because semester two lectures had started.
The concert would still be "hugely appealing'' to students.
"We are really excited he is coming.''
