Book bus service reduced during maintenance

The beloved Dunedin book buses will be running a reduced service over the next few weeks while building maintenance is conducted at their home base in the Civic Centre.

The service will still run, but on a fortnightly roster as opposed to weekly.

The amended timetable will be available on the Dunedin Public Libraries website.

The work is focused on health and safety improvements to the fire protection system in the parking and bus docking area of the Civic Centre.

However, the work will impact the operational capacity for the two buses.

It is expected to take seven weeks and regular bus service will resume once it is completed.
