A brazen daytime burglar was nabbed when someone saw the car he stole parked nearby, police say.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said police were called to Bond St on Tuesday at 6.55pm after a member of the public reported seeing a car that had been stolen earlier in the day.
A 30-year-old man had earlier gone to Autoparts Otago Car Wreckers and allegedly stolen the vehicle.
Officers located the man and he was later charged with burglary, and will appear in the Dunedin District Court this morning.
